10:00    Guest of Honor Program: SF Anime Mechanical Design
Naohiro Washio is a mechanical designer for SF anime such as 'Stellvia', 'Fafner in the Azure', and 'Mobile Suits Gundam 00'. The moderator will ask him about where his unique designs come from, such as his latest mechanical design of 'Bodacious Space Pirates' etc.

11:30    Guest of Honor Program: The world of Alastair Reynolds
Alastair Reynolds is known to write large-scaled stories such as Revelation Space series. The moderator will ask Alastair Reynolds how his world is actually created, and how his plots are structured. The fans who are wondering 'Why his books are so thick?' or want to understand his interests in scientific area will find this program interesting.

13:15    Guest of Honor Program: The way of creating Alastair Reynolds and other Science Fiction artworks
Alastair Reynolds' stories are full of hard SF discription based on scientific authenticity, which is the source of his popularity. Guest of Honor Naohiro Washio has been creating fabulous SF artworks. He will talk about how he is actually creating SF arts.

15:00    Guest of Honor Program: As a scientist, as an author
Alastair Reynolds's stories are regarded as Hard SF, containing many scientific descriptions. As the real world is catching up with science fiction, the moderator will ask what is the difference between science and fiction in him, and how are they related, and what he think the science fiction stories should be in the future.

10:00    Lost in Transit - Part 2
Due to its popularity (many more people came to the panel than expected) Regina and the Halcon team again translated one of her short stories into Japanese (horror this time ;-)). Regina made the pre-translation, the Halcon team members transformed it into readable Japanese. The translators and the author will discuss problems and points of interest of English-Japanese speculative fiction translation during the panel where you'll receive a little booklet with the English and Japanese versions of Regina's short story "Half-Life".

The curator from Yokohama Museum of Art will introduce Yokohama and Art, and of Museum of Art.

The pictures and prints displayed at Hal-con Art show will be auctioned. If there are many bids to the art, it will be auctioned at this time frame. Members are welcome to watch the auction.

15:00    A room of 'Genshoku no Sozoryoku'


'Genshoku no Sozoryoku 2'

'Genshoku no Sozoryoku (The imagination in primary colors)' is the anthology book series collecting short stories by aspiring young writers who are the winners of Sogen SF Short Story Competition. After the final selection meeting for The 3rd Sogen SF Short Story Competition, the program participants will talk about the young talents, and their possibilities.

10:00    A Room of Hirotaka Tobi
Hirotaka Tobi is a SF author known for 'Katadorareta Chikara', 'Grande Vacance', and 'Ragged Girl'. Fans are waiting for his latest novel 'Rei Go Kin' to be published as a hard cover book, and 'Sora no Entei'. The moderator will ask him about his future plans, and about 'Mind Eater' whom he wrote a comment, and the outline of his unique SF perspective.

Introducing zombie movies from old to new. Any one is invited to join the conversation at any time with a drink. Feel free to drop by.

There are many small local SF conventions all around Japan. We will introduce these local conventions and how to enjoy them.

This program will show you the movie trailers of SF / Fantasy / Horror genre which will be released in Japan this summer. We would like to discuss if the movie is worth watching or not.
